About

I’m Vidyut. I just finished my software engineering degree at RMIT and I’m based in Melbourne. I’m currently in the early stages of my career, but I’ve enjoyed coding since I was in high school and have a few projects under my belt.

Most of my work so far has been a mix of full-stack web and backend systems. I spent a year as an intern at IITM Pravartak in Chennai, working in C on Linux on the authentication side of a PostgreSQL extension, and my final-year capstone was a FastAPI/Kafka microservice for Telstra.

I’ve also built a grocery-price comparison app with React and Spring Boot, a C#/.NET markdown viewer for the terminal, and a few other projects on my own time. I love learning about new technologies and building things, and I’m always looking for interesting problems to solve.

Outside that, I run Debian on my laptop and have spent more time than is reasonable poking around in things like the boot chain and kernel internals, mostly out of curiosity rather than for any clear reason. I like learning how the layer underneath the one I’m using actually works.

Apart from that, I’m a big fan of games, play table tennis with friends when I can, and go for walks around Melbourne when I need to clear my head. Just enjoying existing, I guess.

I am actively seeking graduate or junior engineer roles where I can contribute to production-ready code. If you think I’d be a good fit for your team, or just want to chat about tech, let’s connect.
